De Bethune Owners

Picking my first DB28 up this coming week. Meantime I would love to see other DBs you all own and hear from other owners!

What got you into the brand, what models have you owned, how do you like them, etc!

I have been a friend of the 1916 company

They invited me to a db dinner in NYC 3 years ago. I was hooked then. I am a serial flipper, I dont make money on my flips, usually lose, but this way I am always getting new watches without breaking the budget. That being said I always like to have a db in my collection. I have had a db28, 2 different 25s, a dbs and now a db27 blackened zirconium. Love the watches.

Haha sounds like we are similar. I basically try to only lose $X per year.

Which DB was your favorite?

Not a De Bethune owner but I look forward to seeing pictures of yours.

My DB28 has been my most worn watch since I got it in 2020. So light and comfortable I can forget I'm wearing it, the titanium is wearing really really well, slight patina to high polish areas but no real scratches or dings. Scratched the crystal and it was replaced gratis while under warranty and they make a ton of colors for the perfectly contoured rubber straps.

I dismissed DB for a long time because I thought the design was too crazy but then I tried on a DB28 steel wheels and it was all over, I was hooked. They seem like crazy watches but I think they are actually some of the best everyday indies, titanium is super tough and light, they are thin even if a little wide, super comfortable with those articulating lugs, great pr and shock protection, etc.

I even started wearing mine to the gym....

Tim should interview you and feature your collection on their YT channel. As they own part of the company, it should be part of the purchasing experience too :)

I purchased the DB25 a few years ago and then traded that in for the DB28xs Starry Seas. Purple is my favorite color so when the Purple Rain was announced I had to get it. Definitely not an every day piece but quite different and stunning in person. The brand really is one of the best out there.
