royal oak chrono compare r.o offshore

Guys,do you know what's the difference of the royal oak offshore chrono in steel compared to royal oak chrono in steel? Aside from the size and the location of the date,is there any other difference?is the clasp thesame?movement?

Really depends on the model itself.
In the RO line movements vary (dual time uses a JLC movement for example)
ROO now uses a new in house movement but the previous ones used a JLC (I think it was JLC)

Not sure about Clasp

Keep in mind that AP owns 40% of JLC and even on the so-called JLC movements, AP only starts with JLC blanks [according to my AD] and does a LOT of stuff to the movement. It's miles above a JLC movement in fit & finish, unless we are talking top of the line JLC stuff.

They do start with a bit more than blanks (I ate dinner with the CEO of JLC the other week) BUT they really do a TON of work to them.
JLC is an amazing movement to start with and AP takes it to the next level
BUT
From what I could understand they will no longer be supplying movements to AP? I think they have enough demand on their own and AP wants more in house. BUT I may be mistaken about that.
Either way you can't go wrong with either! I want the AP Polaris that and the Rose Gold Rubber Clad make me Drooool!

Everything! Bracelet, clasp, case, movemente, chrono module, weight, looks, etc.

are you sure ?
I know they had a stake in JLC but I think they sold it back to JLC (Richemont) years ago.

Indeed. They sold their stake in 2000, and retained the tooling and rights to a number of the ebauches.

Many of the current model Offshores use the newer 3126 AP movement, which is based upon the in-house 3120 found in the 15300 Royal Oak, as well as in the Millenary chronometer.

As Submarino noted, there is not a lot in common between the ROC and the ROO.
