Struggling to decide which direction I want to go next. I love the idea of having an iconic dress watch in my collection, something like a Reverso, but the fact is I probably just don't need a dress watch. Even before this whole situation I worked from home 100% of the time. So I've been gravitating back toward the sports watches. I love the idea of having something I could wear on different straps - rubber, canvas, natos, etc. Looking for something extremely versatile with at least 100m WR & screw-down crown so it could be worn in the water. The Black Bay 58 is of course an option but I've also been looking at Aqua Terras as of late.

I won't be buying anything even remotely soon due to the current situation in the world. However I view this hobby and this forum as a welcome escape. If I desire to read/talk about the pandemic there's a great thread going on the open forum.

If I keep my job I would like a DJ. And that's my last one. But for now not a priority.

I had a SD43 TT and a DJ41 Blue in my mind at the start of the year, I got the SD and will look to pick up the DJ41 in the summer when my focus is hopefully on watches again.

That is a piece I love, I was working from home yesterday in a short and sleepers with my Sub C 114060 in my wrist admiring it's simple beauty and symmetry, that is one watch I think I will never part ways with.

It depends on where you live. I live in Tulsa, OK. Not exactly a worldwide known metropolis, however all "non-essential" businesses are currently shuttered here.

One thing to remember: geographically the US is a very large place. I don't know that it makes sense to have every non-essential business in the country closed at this point.

I agree. We're talking about a huge and diverse geographic land mass here that includes giant, hyper-dense metropolises like NYC and sparse open plains in the midwest and upper midwest.

The way the market was going last couple of weeks, I’d have been happy with being able to buy a nice g-shock.

Which model are you planning to get when this thing is over?

I’d love a DD36 PM on the cheap, possibly even a DD40. These were already below msrp before this. If they couldn’t move at their current prices with a strong economy imagine how they move in a recession/depression

Before this crisis, I had two more Rolexes to buy - one WG and one RG.
In WG it is between Smurf and YM 42, in RG probably DD olive dial.

We’ll see how long this lasts, dividend income dictates how much I have to spend on timepieces.

Going to do AP ROO as soon as I locate the right one. If I come across a Hulk, I'll buy it to see what the big following is about. Ie - no change here.

This is not entirely true. Much of the U.S. and Europe are in lock-down mode, but the rest of the world is not nearly as affected. China is close to back to normal, and that's where this whole thing started, and Japan is pretty much still "open."

Not trying to sugarcoat a horrible situation, but the rest of the world, excluding Europe, is not in as bad a situation as the U.S.

Here's a good site to see the global breakdown:
