I don’t think he need to prove anything at all. He is not selling his watch to anybody. Nobody has to believe him, he just showed his watch that he had.

They do the same in Monaco AD near the Casino in MonteCarlo, you can choose whatever you want and they’ll change it for you, on the spot.

For that amount of money I want to be able to quickly glance at my watch and actually be able to read the time. Meteorite GMT's are very cool and unique watches but there are several Rolexes at that price point I would prefer over it.
