Not going to debate semantics - stretch or wear & tear or looseness.

It’s all due to link pin metal grinding down. So if you had x-ray vision you’d know.

Hahaha that YouTube dork? Ya he’s the authority for certain. Clearly you don’t remember how well the oyster quartz was perceived. Quartz, outside of grand seiko, is in no way luxury. Quartz in the most iconic diver of all time? Sure thing sport...

Also I reason I won’t buy a jubilee bracelet as much as I love how it looks the deterioration is something That would be constantly bothering me.

How do you feel about it?

Uh, I feel great it! lol

One of those magic, stretch resistant SubC bracelets?

That's got to be a record. Most hard worn SubC bracelet on TRF.

Heres the 1984 case! Lost bezel again. Off to get serviced, polished again and new bezel. Only leaked once on me and thus the new style dial and hands from Rolex.

I see. It isn't a SubC. My mistake.

It is what it is. Function of wear and friction.

might be dumb question of the day...but I dont dive anymore and am now on my 3rd bezel replacement. Is there any chance an airking bezel might fit my 16800? like this one

The sub bezel assembly allows for it to rotate where as the Airking's is fixed so I doubt it. Can't say I've tried. It is possible to turn an explorer II into a GMT though so who knows?

I think that stretch is a feature, not a bug. I wore my Explorer at the top of my hand for 20 years. After a while the stretch/wear produced just the right angle and the fit was superb. It's going to take a while for me to get that my on DD40.
