I would never suggest anyone buy a watch simply because they have been offered one. It sounds to me like you don't have any real want for this watch, so leave it for someone else to buy.

Get a watch because you love it, and not whether or not it will retain its value. The majority of my watches have lost value the moment I walked out of the AD. But this is not why I buy watches. I buy them because I love the way they make me feel when I wear them.
