Are you alright?

I'm pretty old. But I've maintained a social circle across a broad range of ages, from college students through WWII vets. I've experienced my fair share of losses, but I don't dwell on the lost. Rather I focus on those that are still with us and the interests we share.

It's a state of mind that helps you navigate your retirement years. You've left the workforce, where many of the younger folks in your life were, and now you're spending a lot of time with people who don't have much time. Broaden your experience, seek out a new crowd, find ways to find purpose and surround yourself with a new crowd that share your vision.

Annual electronic address book maintenance is taking more effort with each passing year.

Make each day count.

My favourite Barista (age - late 20s maybe) has just left to become a Funeral Director.
I said "I hope I don't ever see you again" She said "The feeling is mutual!"

When you catch yourself thinking things like, 'That's a nice box. Better hold on to that one.'

That an ominous start to this thread. I'd say losing hair where I want it and growing it in spots that I don't.

You know you're old...

...When you start wearing Depends.

Looks, fits, and feels like real underwear.

Features a comfortable cotton-like fabric, and an elastic waistband, and yet still provides maximum absorbency for total protection.

Worry-free odor control.

Features ultra-slim fit that can be worn under any clothing.

Doctors always recommend that you keep moving to stay healthy. It's good advice both physically and mentally. You have to force yourself to get out of the waiting room and into a social circle that stokes your passions and keeps you intellectually active. We all need a daily recharge from a positive upbeat crowd that keeps the joy in our existence. If you lock yourself in with people waiting for the end you'll quickly find yourself at the end.
