I don't regret owning multiple watches but I can echo the sentiment that playing favorites and keeping them all running is tiresome at times. That said, I tend to get bored with things after a while and have to change it up.

My explorer almost made me stop buying other pieces, though. That one truly is an amazing watch to end all collecting

After years with only my Pepsi, I added considerably to the collection. I rationalize that if the other 7 suddenly fail, I have the pepsi to fall back on!

I'm a only one Rolex guy BUT I have the SubC in the drawer because when the SD43 go to service in 9 years I will need the SubC in my wrist. Two Rolex is the minimun!

I had a 1998 bluesy but recently flipped it after my new SubC came in at the dealer. No regrets, but be aware that they are very different watches. Took a while for me to get used to the bigger lugs and larger wrist presence of the new Sub. If you're keeping your bluesy, give it a while and see how you like the new one and how much you wear it. If you keep going back to the bluesy you can always sell the new one down the road.

If you are going for a second watch, I would get something different to give you more of an alternative.

Great point. I was concerned about the new profile, especially because I have a smaller wrist. I did try one on and it seemed like it will be okay, but to your point, I won’t know until I live with it for a while.
I am also considering a RubberB for the SS...
