Sir,
In today’s Rolex (crazy) market - where you waited 3 years for a 40 MM Sub and then actually got one at MSRP is a miracle. The AD could’ve sold it to a straw buyer and made an extra 3-5K...
Please be a bit more grateful because your post makes you sound like a whiner!

Five years ago I would see all the now "hot" models at every AD in London, and could have had any one I wished. It's bizarre how quickly this changed.
