Good work watch?

Would I really want to do business with those who would be willing to drop an opportunity based on my watch wearing habits?

Me personally would wear whatever is on rotation that week. Then again, that why I have nothing to do with the business transactions of my group

But the head honcho who does, hes been wearing the same 5 digit yellow gold day date with champagne dial forever.

how about a social experiment?
wear a Rolex for a few months.
then suddenly, switch to a Seiko or a Casio and just wear that.
i bet you'll be getting comments. Like, "what happened to your Rolex?".

Thank you for the help. After a search on the recommendations, I'm seriously considering the following:
-Tudor bb58
-Omega Moonwatch sapphire sandwich
-Rolex Explorer 39mm- I actually used to own one. I bought it used and it had some minor flaws I just couldn't overlook (the seller didn't tell me about them and made me mad as hell) so I moved it on pretty quick.
-Some sort of Grand Seiko - While I like the snowflake,I think it might be a too large for me. It's all all dial watch and my wrists are 6.5"

Like you say, hardly anybody ever notices your watch. It's true that to 99% of the general public, whatever is on your wrist is a non-issue to them.

I assume you are a Rolex aficionado. If you are, spend your hard-earned money on the watches that you truly want, not what you speculate other people want you to have. To let the over-analyzing influence your personal hobby is, imo, irrational.

The nice thing about the Speedmaster on a leather strap is that’s it’s dressy, but good for casual occasions too; perfect for a business casual environment. It’s a great conversation piece since it was actually worn on the moon and used by astronauts in the Apollo program. At the same time it doesn’t have the bling of a Rolex.

It’s definitely a huge upgrade over your Longines.

However, with all that said, I wear a Rolex in the office too. I have a sr executive level position, but I don’t deal with clients directly, so I don’t have to worry about what prospective clients may or may not think. The Speedmaster is a great watch, but definitely more under the radar than a Rolex.

I think vintage would be very cool. You own a few nice modern pieces but some vintage style might be a nice change up. This is listed on tropical watch right now for about the same price as the Tudor gmt
