Sorry, another message from the OP.

I know the "standard" DJ setup is fluted/jubilee and smooth/oyster, but for my style, the oyster suits me better, and fluted is a must. That would then give me one bracelet each of brushed oyster (SubDate), Rolesor oyster (Explorer), PCL oyster (DJ36), and jubilee (BLNR).

Here's a photo of me trying one on in December 2020. I wanted to buy it then but I just purchased my BLNR a few months earlier and decided to hold off. I absolutely love this watch, but I also love the Speedy too!

Just need 8 more votes!

Hi all, I know this thread is losing it's steam, but I've never seen a TRF poll this close after this many votes! I just need 8 more votes for 100 and I'll call it quits, unless, it's 50-50! So after 92 votes it's ... a TIE!

46 for DJ36 Blue, Fluted, Oyster
46 for Speedy Pro Hesalite 1861 worn on leather strap

Interesting to note that almost ALL the written replies are for the Speedy, yet the poll voting is exactly 50-50! Thank you everyone!

The DJ is the nicer watch and would normally be my choice. BUT, since you already have 3 other Rolex, I don't think it adds that much for your growing collection. The Omega, esp. on a strap, adds a different look, a different wearing experience and movement (manual wind) from a different brand, a different heritage... Plus it's a strap monster.

So I voted Speedy. It's the only reference from Omega that even remotely interests me. Get the new 3861 model, the bracelet is worth it. METAS movement, hacking, major upgrade.

EDIT: By the way current vote count:
DJ 48
Speedy 49

The DJ will give you more visual and style variety. The Speedmaster gives you brand and functional variety with the possibility of many strap options.

If you go Speedy, consider the 3861 on bracelet. You can always add straps.

Between the TT explorer and BLNR, I’d say you have the datejust vibes covered. A chrono would add some diversity of style and function.

Thank you TimeAZ! And thank you again everyone for all your suggestions and input. After all that, I'm still as undecided as ever! Haha! I love this hobby.

I feel like I'll be a winner no matter which watch I choose, both so storied, rich in history, and icons in their own right. I'll be sure to update this thread when I make my decision, which hopefully, will be before 2023 comes around!

Speedy Pro Hesalite 1861, that I'll wear mostly on an aftermarket leather strap

I understand they are completely different. I have always wanted both watches, each for various reasons, so it's really a no lose situation for me. In the end, one day, I'll probably wind up with both, but that's no guarantee, so if you could only add one more, which would it be?
Speedy pro. It's a fantastic piece!

(I have Speedy Pro, Sub and DJ...looking to add BLNR...)

Based on your sea, land, air collection, space seems like the next logical step.

Since your asking about SubC, I am going 1. Batman, 2. Exp.

Sold my SubC with 0 regrets so not even #3 for me.
