1. i prefer straps for the speedy. it's nice to have a non rolex for many circumstances as well and having a strap keeps it even more low key.
2. unless you really prefer the new bracelet, you're going to lose about 1000-2K relative to the cost of replacement speedy if you decide you're going to be a collector (rather than a one watch person) down the road and decide to buy one back. edit sorry you have other rolex then i would keep the speedy for certain |

This! I had an 1861 that I never really fell in love with. I sold it and bought a new 3861 and it has barely left my wrist. I've owned an OP and couldn't possibly imagine trading my 3861 for it. Sold my 1861 and bought the 3861 for well under $2k difference, easily my best watch deal (short of getting a new Aquanaut for 10% off MSRP before the craziness set in).

Based on what you have already, I would prefer the Speedie over the OP41 black. But if you don't like it, you don't like it.

I have both (speedy is last Gen) and use the OP as my daily. I think it’s more comfortable than the Speedy and the fact that it is automatic with a good power reserve and a screw down crown is appreciated. It can also be dressed up much more easily imo.

As others have said, I would not get rid of the Speedmaster for the OP. The Speedmaster is one the classic Omega watches one can buy (if not, THE most classic Omega!)
Can you swing a preowned OP and keep the Speedmaster? Sometimes it’s very liberating wearing a non Rolex that is a great strap monster aka speedy. |
