I have the 116515 and its one of my favorites, I do not find it hard to pair at all. Very unlikely I would trade for the WG variant but would consider adding. I would 100% go oysterflex. For me, all gold bracelet is too heavy and really like the feel of OF and weight balance it gives on the wrist.

I'm sticking with the 116515 chocolate dial for the time being. I think the RG and OF are a really great combo, the dial is a nice bonus but maybe the third best part of the watch in my opinion.

I'll look to add the full bracelet WG option as funds allow.

Is this your daily or do you have other watches?

I agree. Put it away for a month and look at it again with fresh eyes. I wanted both and was on the list for a chocolate until it got discontinued. It has so much personality. I understand how it can be a bit much for some days. The ghost is super classy but much more subtle. I think it will age well and look great even as you age.

If you're looking for better legibility on the WG model, I think you're going to be disappointed.

Now, if you're looking to make a switch, okay. I myself prefer the WG model. I was lucky enough to be offered one when they were first hitting the market, and man, do I love that watch...for so many reasons.

But...legibility is not one of them.

Chocolate dial is special. Dont think you can really capture it in photos, quite dynamic depending on lighting situation. For some reason I feel that the ghost photographs pretty true to its real life appearance, chocolate dial never felt that way. Obviously for most the ghost will be more practical to wear daily or more frequently. I think this boils down to your collection( only watch vs. a rotation), your style, and ultimately what you feel suits your personal tastes.

White gold on OysterFlex would be my choice.

116519 for me. I really like a Daytona on Oysterflex or even a few years back on leather. It's a refreshing change in the rotation from all the steel bracelet sport rolexes.

I’m a big fan of chocolate dials and may look to add a chocolate dial Daytona next year. That said, I have a 116519 on Oysterflex and won’t ever let it go, it’s absolutely stunning and very versatile.

Both are great, but … the RG / Chocolate is something special.

It’s hard to beat special.

In this matchup I vote for the chocolate dial on oysterflex. However, I would prefer a new model with glidelock clasp.

Its really not. I wore a 116515 with anything. Stop overthinking it.

You're not a fashion icon (sorry) and no one cares what colour your watch is

Chocolate dial has been on my radar for awhile. I love that piece! I also like the WG very much but gravitate towards warmer colors…

I prefer 116515 RG Chocolate by far. With the OF bracelet you kind of get the best of both worlds, a PM watch without as much as the flashiness of a full bracelet so it's easier to wear more often.
