Sorry, poor choice of words. I believe the "Explorer" name arguably sits better at the bottom.

I know you're not asking for my advice, but keep your favorite out of the two explorers, sell the other one, and score another less similar watch, i.e. not the explorer 36!

Strange, but in the head-on shot of the dials, the 39 looks slightly bigger to my eye....

The fact your 39 is the earlier version with the polished 3, 6, 9 markers, I think they can coexist quite nicely in your collection, OP. Congrats.
