Great pics capturing the different looks of the Hulk as it really changes that much and more.

And that's why I like him so much - for his 100 faces. ;)

The dial on 116610LV makes the choice easier for me

From a value perspective if you can get a MK1 Starbucks then I’d probably go for that over the Hulk as the MK1 Starbucks is on course to to follow the hulk and become a very sought after classic and there are only max 53,000 available worldwide with it being discontinued in May 2023 so they will only be increasing in value as each year passes that the MK2 Starbucks is still in production.

Because it doesn't. The dial is plain black maybe 10% of the time. Not that it matters, just buy what you want and if you don't want something don't buy it. There's a lot more to the Hulk than just its green sunburst dial.

From what you have posted it sounds like you can't justify the 116610LV, so you've already answered your own question.

I don’t think there’s even close to the same amount of sentiment surrounding Starbuck MK anything compared to Hulk

I have both. The 12 is a beater. The 11 comes out when I want to feel special.

Wow the hulk fans love to dump on the 12LV! God forbid someone could possibly like the black dial more. Gotta love when these theads turn into mine is better than yours.

I passed on the Hulk with a 20% discount at my AD and stand by the decision.

Ok. But way back in those days, 20% discounts on LN Subs also were possible.

It’s easy: buy what you love.

Either .. had the Starbucks and loved it .. Hulk high on my list, and correct in certain lights looks black dial, but in others like sunlight it looks amazing and feels great on .. it’s all personal preference but you know that, but if I had the choice I’d chuck in wild card and say OG Kermit, because that’s the one for me …

If you decide on a Hulk then you won’t find one better value than this one:

https://ebay.us/m/gZ2npR

It does seem crazy cheap on the face of it but it gets sent to the authenticator so at least you can’t be had over.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think they open it up, so you will never know for sure.

Interesting how some "need" a watch to do for them what no watch can do.....

The man makes the watch.

That’s incorrect. Stoll & Co do in fact open up the watches to check their movements to confirm authenticity.

it's listed as a 16610lv? soooo, if it is, in fact, a 5-digit sub, then it must mean that it's an aftermarket dial and bezel insert? if that's the case, then no thank you lol.

Either that, or its a fake and the fraudster had no idea which reference is which, so he put down whatever google gave him first.

You have to consider that the Hulk is out of production. All things being equal, that would sway my decision. You can always get the 12xxxx. Lots of them available.

Hulk has an extraordinary dial that is near magic in the light, but I can't get my head around the "blocky" case...that said, Hulk on black rubber like one of the pics earlier this thread.

PS - buy what you want =)

It only makes sense to make it so the buyer has to collect so you keep it away from the authenticators inspecting it as they will inspect it throughly so the plan would fall down very quickly so it could actually be the case that the seller doesn’t realise what they have and consequently have underpriced it

Er, no, it just has a green dial as opposed to a black dial. It does have the previous generation Maxi case. The Rolex Submariner Date is iconic, and cosmetics tweaks are done mainly to generate sales, not change the Beast.

To me the hulk is awesome in lowlight and just too bright in direct light. I prefer the SB. I’m debating getting one, i just keep looking at it.
