I've done this before with a Seiko several years ago with no problems so, last night, I left my Sea Dweller in the freezer at -10 deg until this morning. It gained about 2 seconds in 10 hours and is running fine this morning. End of my story.

There you go, i was wrong about it losing time.

Leaving it in the freezer is ok freezing it in a block of ice with the expanding pressure of ice as it freezes not so sure about that but I'd like to see the result as long as it's your watch hehe Rik

Agreed. Freezing in a block of ice isn't too smart. That's something I wouldn't try.

I would think that any of the dive watches would be able to cope with the pressure.

But in saying that I'm not about to chuck my Sub in the freezer to test my theory

I also think that the pressure exerted on the watch would depend a lot on the rigidity of the container used to hold the watch. If the container has some give then the pressure maybe dissipated outwards rather than inwards.
