I had the decision to make between a GMTIIC and the Milgauss GV a few months ago.
I chose to go with the GV because I already had the SubDate and the two just looked WAY too similar. But it was a tough choice and if I were to go with my first Rolex, I would probably pick the GMTIIC as a first. Then the GV as a second. Don't get me wrong, I think the GV is the cooler watch of the two.

Do you guys think the specific GV model will be discontinued in the near future? I understand it is a very limited watch. This type of issue could impact a buyer's decision as well.

If you want to be like everyone else, jump on the bandwagon and get the GMT (this coming from a guy with a DJ and 2 subs hahah) If you want to stand out from the crowd, go for the Milgauss. The thing that got me into the Milgauss is that you don't really see them too often, GMT II-C's are all over. BUT either way you can't go wrong.

Now I can't pinpoint exactly what it is about this picture, but that is a really badass picture of a GV in my opinion. The shiny bracelet, the perfect angle where you see the green glass. Hahahah, wow. Seeing this picture ALONE almost made me impulse-buy a GV. Somebody take a pic of a GV sitting on a glass bottle of Mexican coke!! Thats my favorite drink. |

The watch is not a limited edition or anything. But its predecessor was discontinued for poor sales... so who knows.

I am a new to the forum and Rolex was not of appeal to me a while ago. Since I started working where I work I started realizing the great quality, build and the fact that your money is always there.
The watch that really made me start appreciating rolex was the MV. I had that watch as goal since its a really attractive watch. I am a little confused. I already got an M serial Mint condition gmt II ceramic and I love it. But IMO when you see from distance a sub, a gmt or a seadweller they look the same to me. I have the chance now of swapping my gmt c for a mv. Even my wife likes the MV better design wise. I have read all the post and it seems like the right choice for a first rolex is my gmt but the MV is just whispering my ear. I am going to try it on today at mayors to get a feel for it. Any opinions will be appreciate it. I cant post yet so thats why I use this thread because it is related, thanks I wanna thank and recommend pgreenberg, excellent person and great advisor for getting my first rolex. Thanks paul |

Carlos, by MV do you mean the Milgauss GV? Also why can't you post on here? And I would not trade the GMT...I would save up to buy your next watch and keep the GMT!!!
