I've let friends try on most of my pieces, including precious metal, but I've only let them borrow SS pieces and always in my presence ie. if we all go out to dinner or for my weekly "Cigar Sunday." Never overnight or if I won't be present at whatever event. I'm freshly 30, but have friends in their early/mid 20's without the same means I have, so it's usually my younger friends who know of my horological obsession and whose interests have been piqued, that ask me "can I please wear one of your Rolexes to dinner?"

When I meet the right woman I intend on buying her her own watches, but if she wanted to wear one of mine, all she would have to do is ask.

Wife, can't get her to wear one!!!! Our girls, yes they can wear them. They each picked out which of mine they want. I let others try my watches on but that's about it.

I would let my Dad and Brother borrow at any time as they both have models. I have purchased most of their watches for them. I take better care of mine bit I don't baby them either. I have a few friends I would let borrow them. No one ever says they wish they were less trusting with people close to them at the end of their life.

newbie here, I given my Rolex watches to friends for weeks on end, one day I ran into a buddy at an auto auction and swapped Rolex watches for a couple weeks..it is all good, just last month one buddy took one of mine back to Pa for a couple weeks..dropped it off at another buddies house who happen to be a master clock repair guy..he had it for a week or so and it just showed up today in the mail.I wore it today for the first time in months

I gave my father, mother and father-inlaw Rolex watches to wear..BUT.....I do not think I will get those back LOL, you know how that goes

They are just watches and there are more important things in life..

That being said I do not hand them to strangers ..unless it is a controlled situation and I know they can not get away

Do you mean lend it to them for a night out? or let them try it on?

I have no problem letting people try it on.
However, I'd probably only let my dad and other friends who own their own Rollies borrow mine.

Never ...

Maybe try them on but that is as far as it goes. These watches are my passion and lost on most of the people I know. Alas -Ronbo
