I used to draw a little and minored in art in college. Don't really do it anymore but will regret that someday.

Here was a pic I drew as an assignment in school. I never really knew what to do with colors/paint - just stuck to pencil.

I can't even imagine having your arm fused in such a position and then living with it. My doctors have been firmly counseling and wanting me to have my right wrist fused(it's been dislocated for over 15 years along with my right thumb) to relieve my pain and discomfort...but I can't imagine losing all range of motion in my wrist. You use your wrists so much everyday and the loss of movement would be very difficult to deal with...and I have read up on Arthritis Forums and everyone who has had this surgery done, say don't do it. They have all said that a couple of years down the road you are worse off then before you had the surgery. Now they are doing wrist replacement surgeries nowadays but I've been told I'm to young, active and mobil for said surgery.....go figure!!!

Take it easy and keep playing.....Leo
I didn't know that Leo, thank you for the information!

I wouldn't have that done either, especially since it would become a real problem with my profession. To be honest I'll just have to hope I'll never get any bone or muscle disease so I can not only continue to feel the blues but also to earn a living, I'm always thinking that if I have to have a limb of mine broken, paralyzed or even cut of it would have to be my left leg as it's the only one I could consider abandoning (the right one is for the wah pedal...).

I didn't even know bone fusion was a possible thing to do but I'd rather suffer than having my arm paralyzed...for nothing!

I really like the champagne one as it gives the watch another touch of yellow gold, which is a metal I really like! As for the diamond markers, they do look great in my opinion, they add a bit of bling without being over the top.

Built this pergola and planted some clematis's (also some jasmine) Anyway my dad's clever idea was to put this fine net on the walls and fence, because the clematis needs something to grab onto.

But the clematis has started pulling the net off the wall and fence, and once it has you can't tack it back on. It's a total mess. It's gonna have to come out.

So how can I get the clematis to grow on the walls and fences (like the bottom pic, obviously not mine)
Have you thought of long wooden sticks Wes? Provided that you put them firmly in the ground perhaps they could offer more resistance to the clematis than your net...

...I'm afraid that's all I can recommend as I've never dealt with such plants. Good luck!

I like to draw at times but I'm just terrible, I can only do cartoon faces...

Thanks Carl. Think there are some sticks, they help it grow upwards, really want to get it all over the wall. Think that pic has wires across the wall. Maybe need a stronger net, attach it better, rather than the pins I used. I'll ask down at the garden center. Might even put ivy back as that sticks to anything and is evergreen, I think.

Nope, I'm only good at stick figures but I can also draw plants and Landscape Designs...my passion and art manifests itself in growing plants and designing gardens(I'm also an expert at growing tropical plants, Cactus and other Succulents). My Dad, when he was alive, came up with the name of Living Landscapes By Leo to put on my business cards. I actually would love to design Botanical Gardens and other Public Gardens and Parks. Then I could watch them grow and mature and enjoy watching others appreciate the colors and textures of the foliage and flowers(and the interplay of shade and sunlight and it's effects on beds and borders which highlight different plants as the seasons progress).....

I'm known for putting together colors and plants which should not be compatible but taken as a whole...it works. The texture of foliage is just as important as the mix of evergreens, flowering shrubs, vines, ground covers, deciduous trees and perennials and annuals. Known as four season interests there are many plants which give the landscape value throughout the year.....such as trees with peeling bark or ornamental shrubs producing berries which sustain the birds in the wintertime(also it's always good to enhance your Gardens with Native species which supply food in the Fall and Winter and you know they are Hardy and will not die out). Many Hybrids have beauty and offer many choices to the Homeowner but do not do well when over wintered so they need replacing each year...regardless if they are suppose to be perennials. Also when you have Native plants which are established, they may not be as showy but they acclimate better to your climate so in times of drought they will survive.....

I'm fortunate that about 12 miles from my house is some virgin Prairie Land and it's fun to go each week as different indigenous plants come into prominence display their beauty and subside for the next plants to come forth. Also in other directions are beautiful woods with Woodland Wildflowers who also do their thing bringing beauty to the world. And the irony is these areas are easily accessible by all but most drive by without giving them a second glance.....people really do not know what they are missing. I've been known(just ask my wife or son)to be driving along on an Interstate somewhere and actually pulling off the highway to go back and look at plants in bloom. And when we are on vacation I always like to pick up books on the areas' Wildflowers and Native plants!!!

That is very well done, Lisa. The contrasting values that you were able to achieve is outstanding.

I majored in Graphic Design so Drawing 1 and Drawing 2 were required in the curriculum. Drawing has become my true passion. I, like you, do not do well with paint! In one of my college art classes, I dropped the paint, it splashed in my eye, and I nearly blinded myself I may be exaggerating a little there Back on topic, the medium I enjoy most is graphite pencil. Specifically 2B and 4B graphite pencils. My specialty is Pencil Portraits, but I also draw the human body with charcoal. And yes, I had to draw countless nude models in my college art classes. Lets just say that was an experience I will never forget, no matter how much I may want to

Carl wasn't aloud to draw as a child, everytime he was given a pencil, he would jam it up his nose.

I've drawn a few landscapes in charcoal including flowers, buildings, etc. Capturing all of the details are key to a good drawing, especially in nature!

The first day I signed up, I wanted the username LocksandKeys but it said it was taken so I changed it to LockandKey. I did not know it signed me up for both usernames!

If any mods see this, please close the "LocksandKeys" account and leave this one open!

You should probably send them a private message instead, they're usually pretty quick for that as creating multiple accounts is against the rules of the forum (for those who do it on purpose, that is).

A part of me thinks that this joke is way too hardcore to be tried on anybody (what if a person has a heart problem?) but at the same time I can't help but finding this very funny...
