Oh yeah... the LP is wonderful!! a 1954 Custom, Art & Historic replicated in 1999, ex-Gary Moore's axe, and built like, well, I dunno what!
It is real guitar porn I tell you!

Fancy selling your anniversary model! Was it made in the 1970s? If so, then do't feel too bad as the quality of Gibson (and indeed Fender) was suffering a bit inthat decade - but, of course, they still turned out some wonderful instruments, just not quite as many as in other times (they were doing funny things like pancake bodies, multiple piece bodies, volutes and so on). I had a white 1974 LP custom and it was magnificent - on the other hand, I have also had a Gibson from that era that really was a tone turd...
Sorry for raving

Well, OK then... you hit it pretty spot-on. Mine was a '74 and DID have the pancake body, didn't like it. I sold it after a couple years because that and other things always bothered me. I ended up w/a 1976 Std. in Tobacco Sunburst that is/was technically a much better guitar. Still have it. Many gigs, many stories...
