How long did it take you to get the Tiffany 5711A?

my name is supposedly on that list, just curious if I should not hold my breath.

EDIT:: Sorry I thought it was your watch, still maybe your buddy can answer.

Don't mean to burst your bubble but your name is not actually on the "list" unless you buy other watches first. Think about it, the list is 100+, they get 1 or 2 a year, you do the math. They will push for their top customers to get the most sought after models as soon as possible in hopes of bringing more business

Your statement is incorrect. Two years ago when I was looking for a 5711 blue dial I asked a few AD's including Tiffany Beverly Hills to call me when they get one in. I found one before Tiffany called, but they did call in approximately six months and say the watch was in and if I wanted it come and get it. I had never bought from them, watch or anything else. The whole idea of a "list" is 99% BS most of the time, it's all about your relationship with the AD or salesperson. Be friendly, be knowledgeable, act like you're serious about buying, maybe even offer to leave a deposit, and you'll be at the top of the so called list.

you're saying pretty much what I'm saying for other ADs, except I'm specifically referring to the tiffany dial 5711. This comes straight from the AD, i'm not just making assumptions

The call I received from Tiffany was to see if I wanted to come in and buy the Tiffany marked 5711 blue dial. So, I'm not saying anything close to what you said previously, in fact I'm saying that the 100 plus list you referred to and previous purchase history had nothing to do with getting the call. Why do you want to discourage potential buyers from finding a Tiffany dial 5711 by making it seem almost impossible when it really isn't. Last comment I'll make regarding this.

Not sure if you read my post but what I wrote is coming directly from the person in charge of Patek at Tiffany - they're required to say certain things over the phone but it's not always what happens behind the scenes. You can be #50 on the list, but if you spend $50-100k they'll move you up very quickly. These are facts.

I agree that most ADs give priority to repeat and loyal customers...at least that is the practice of our local Patek AD here in Manila.

This is especially true for sought after pieces like the 5711 A or in P or even a 5167 A.

Ps. The blue on both 5711 and 12 is the same...I have both and the 5712 has so many going on the dial that the dial color cannot stand out as a cleaner dial could.
