I am not a Daytona authority, just own several. One thing I noticed is the watch has red Subdial hands. On a Panda. When I bought mine new from a AD I wanted the red hands and was told by the Rolex rep ( area rep not the local AD, he works for Rolex US) that the watch was never produced with red hands, so I went with what Rolex produced and my local AD ordered it straight from Rolex US. This is a picture of mine, and yes it is my Dailey watch.

Yes, red hands comes on other Daytona models. Can be sourced from either the meteorite or slate dial Daytonas (Meteorite dial uses all in red, Slate dial uses 3 smaller chrono hands in red and main chrono hand in white gold). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Is the crystal plexi or sapphire? It appears that the crystal is plexi, which back in the day, the bezel held the plexi crystal to the case. Nowadays, with sapphire crystals, there is a separate bezel that holds the crystal to the case, and the bezel fits over the top of the "purpose built" bezel that secures the crystal....
I agree with the others, something here is not adding up. -Sheldon

If I remember correctly Rolex produced the WG Panda Dial Daytonas with red sub dial hands in the late 00's. M series comes to mind |

Wow that is really something. I can't imagine rolex screwing up like that. I wonder if a non certified person changed the bezel? Odd

Believe it or not this happened to a good friend. He bought a few aftermarket ceramic bezels to see how they would look ( looked cheap, didn't use them) and his bezel has never fit the same... I wonder if your AD might have played Barbie with some bezels? Not saying this is the case at all...but I've heard of this happening due to this situation. Glad he's working with you to fix this!

The bezel fell of my sub when it was new in 1995 i was really angry about it but it got fixed and never happened again. Weird however it should happen maybe a quality control issue? Long time ago now I admit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Glad the seller took care of you and that WG sub is a beauty. Odd happenings with that Daytona. I personally think it was worked on by someone that didn't know what they were doing.
And the OP never stated this was a Rolex AD as people are referring to. They have never said who the seller was (that I can see) just that they took care of it, which is all that matters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
