I don't see why so much thinking is required... just go back to the AD & buy a 2nd bracelet, they can make it happen!!

It's only money

Get a good spring pin tool and you can easily switch bracelets yourself.

I think that with the diamonds, the Jubilee works great. Really a pretty watch, that you should enjoy for a long time. Congrats to you and your friends who are rocking these sweet pieces!

Congrats from midtown!

A Datejust on jubilee is timeless.

They're perfect on the jubilee bracelets, especially with diamonds. Beautiful.

Great call with the jubilee! That is the classic DJ combo and the jubilee bracelets have so much more quality and durability now. I think another Rolex with oyster might be in order down the road so you have one of each. Also, your wedding set is beautiful! I love the bit of colour with the pink stones.

The camaraderie on this board is unlike any other. Welcome aboard and congratulations! I prefer the oyster for me, but it's really about what you want to look at day after day. There's really only one solution: buy a second DJ with the oyster bracelet!

Stick with the jubilee. It’ll hide scratches much better than the oyster bracelet.

My wife wears her DJ 31 with jubilee bracelet all the time. It is a timeless classic and I think you made the right choice. I keep toying with the idea of buying a DJ 41 for daily wear and if I do you can bet it will be on a jubilee bracelet.

This is my wife's Rolex next to mine.

Hi Julie, Welcome to TRF! Great choice on your DJ, congrats.

My wife wears a very similar 116231 but with a white diamond dial. The jubilee perfectly suits this model with the fluted bezel and diamond markers. She wears an old vintage 1002 Oyster Perpetual on an Oyster for her "sporty" casual watch.

Late to the party here but, two tone DJ, fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet, that’s a grand slam right there, don’t question your decision as it was a perfect one. Also a warm TRF welcome to you.

I am brand new to the forum! I am loving all your gorgeous photos of your Rolexes!

My best friend and I just got our very first Rolexes and we're in love!

After much deliberation, I decided to go with the two tone Rose Gold Datejust in the 36MM size, with diamond markers and the classic Jubilee band.
My friend Debbie got the same exact watch, but in two tone yellow gold and steel. We both love our watches, but the only thing I keep wondering in my mind is if I should've gotten this watch with the Oyster band, instead of the Jubilee. I know it's a matter of preference, and I will probably get equal answers telling me to stick with the Jubilee, as I will get those who definitely prefer the Oyster, but I thought I would still post some photos of my gorgeous watch for feedback.

I will be wearing this watch every day, I am in the arts, (writer, producer) and I lived in NYC. I know the Jubilee band is more dressy than casual, so that's why I wonder if the Oyster may have been a better choice for every day.

Anyway, here are some photos, I would love to hear some feedback on how it looks on. Also, I had considered buying an additional Oyster band in order to switch it out from time to time, but I am hearing the bands cost nearly half the price of the watch, so that would just be ridiculous, I rather just get another Datejust for that price! LOL

Anyway, I am glad to be here and look forward to everyone's posts! I am new to the Rolex world, but I am already in love!

Cheers!

Julie

Hi Julie,

I think it looks great as is. The levels of "dressiness" and "sportiness" in Rolexes are largely incremental, IMO. The fluted/jubilee combo is timeless and iconic for a reason...people love them. Wear and enjoy.

Great watch. The jubilee band is perfect for that model.
