To me it is not important which colour scheme you go with, what is useful is why you went back to the original style?
Was it because the latest changes were unsatisfactory, or was it because you found some particular colours unpalateable, or was it because you just prefer the original colour scheme, or some other reason not referred to hereinbefore?

It's easier to read with less green, but the green title bar is too bright for some eyes or monitors with high resolution. Actually, I like the lighter/pale green colour in the edit mode. I find softer colours are easier on older eyes
Also, IMO if the Avatar section provides a better contrast if not green, but something that complements green - e.g., yellow gold - just my |

Steve, that is much better! For me, though, I think I'll always prefer the traditional blue style. I just find the muted colors more soothing to the eyes. Thanks for always putting in the time to make this a better place to hang out!

I have been using the new RolexGreen for a day now, and I still like it. I guess the former color consultant, Stevie Wonder, has been dismissed. My previous comment about not enough contrast between the black text and dark green in the Quote area is no longer an issue. The black text with the new green pops out fantastically. The yellow and puke green blend is gone, replaced by a more soothing color. Great changes, Steve. White is better, too.

A couple more tweaks, so how is this now, is the new colour any better?

I think this new RolexGreen colour works pretty well now, it is quite soothing on the eyes.
I'm just trying to pacify myself until the next guy comes along tells me it is crap

RolexBlack. Not quite what I had in mind. I thought text and background would both be black. But I like this anyway.

Steve, just when was it that you started losing some of your buttons? You undoubtedly still have the "Panda Delete" button.

That's right Panda might go nite-nites forever if Panda doesn't watch out.

I like the green, too, and the gray text field.
The green could be toned down just a bit.

'toned down a bit': I'm not sure what that means do you mean make darker, make less intense etc. There are about 5 different shades of green used, and they are different to differentiate the various areas of the page.

...I LOVE the ORIGINAL....
...Rolex Style #1.
...it is a nice "twist" what you have done, and am certain that some of the TRF mbrs are already using it, BUT, I prefer the original. ...just me. Thanks, Stan. |
