There is an incentive for an AD to say they are not getting any in order to shift the blame vs saying we have a few more bigger spenders than you as then you get mad and the relationship might be ruined.
Your thoughts are normal but believe me he is telling the truth. He is not a big AD so yes his sales are not that big, but the rep is fairly large for the area.

I declined the BLNR when strong rumors for either a coke or pepsi emerged, and that is when I jumped first in line. He said not to worry with the BLNR he would always offer one to me. Yes end 2017.

Then again he got several Tudor Pepsis all at once !

It would have been lovely to see all of those "rare" items!!
Whilst we hear of AD's displays being empty and that they "seem" to be doing no business, and or just keeping the shop clean - perhaps more business is done like this and they are quietly having a great retail time, unbeknown to us!?
Who knows, in this "game" of chinese whispers and disinformation.

Still hoping for the "call"

That never happenned he did not get any in 2018. So now he got his last order and was surprised to find NONE of the SS orders, though he did get some TT.

What impacted me the most is he issued me a fair warning that things in 2019 were going to be the tightest we have ever seen, even more than 2017 and 2018. He told me to consider myself lucky to have the BLRO (to which I agreed), as he thought he would not be receiving any during the year.

I feel ADs now are better qualified than ever to sort of predict what will happen in the near future. As I understand, they talk to a rep in the area who is very well versed on orders and fulfillments. Obviously this feedback is what I am getting now.

My two cents on SS supply.
The dealer who sold me a BLNR, BLRO, Sub-LV, Sky-D reminds me every time we talked that how lucky I am to have these watches and less than 1% of the people in the world have such a collection. I find it a little amusing.

I'm not saying that this is or isn't true ( I have no idea ) but you would think they would inform AD's of this before they spend hundreds of thousands on renovations in their locations.......Having said that maybe this is why some AD's are not going forward with the renovations? Time will tell

Umm, the BLRO did not even exist yet in SS and had not been announced. How is it that you knew in 2017 that you wanted to wait for the BLRO that no one knew was being released until March 2018?

My AD claimed to have received one Hulk in 2018, although that was in November, so the count may have gone up by the end of December. I have no reason not to believe this. I'm not in the market for one and don't need backing off. In the same period they received no Sky Dwellers and three Bluseys. IIRC the SS BLRO count for 2018 was three. They say they can sell just about anything they get, although they would like to see mote hot SS models coming in. They sell lots of other brands too. They're not starving.

My AD said they can get any Datejust but just about any other SS is out of the question right now.

My AD got one bluesy as well, and others here report seeing or being offered one. A production batch seems to have taken place. I wonder if the BLRO initital production run is over with, we have not seen one in a while. Maybe doing the BLNR with the new movement ?

Must be nice to work 2 hours a month and get paid for all of it, even lawyers are questioning their life choices now.
