I do remember one time when he was sparring, facing his opponent, and he excecuted a roundhouse that ended up with Ethan kicking the kid in the back of the head. Lisa, when I hear of turntables I think of old school music stereos where one of the components play record albums, preferably the long playing 33 1/2 vinyl records over the 45's.....there's a Record/CD show next month where you can go and buy used ones from all kinds of vendors who set up for a small fee. This show occurs every other month but I have not gone yet because I'm afraid I might come home with 30 or 40 albums to add to my smaller holdings. I know of one friend and collector who has over 5,000 vinyl albums in his listening room and over 15,000 CD's.....

I would imagine that Dave down in his hobby room must have a stereo laying around somewhere. If he is interested I have two Crown IC150A Preamps, two Crown DC300A Amps, a B & O Beogram 4004 Turntable, a Maranntz 115B Tuner, a Nakamichi Music Bank CD Player 2, a Phillips DCC 900 Digital Compact Casette Recorder and a pair of Klipsch Chorus 2 Speakers!!!

As for music mediums I have approximately 550 vinyl albums split between early Rock and Jazz and about 400 or so CD's of mainly Jazz. I do enjoy listening to the albums because the sound is so much better over CD's but of course each time you play vinyl you are degrading their quality. But I will take listening to Analog sound any day over Digital as it is what your ears hear especially when you listen to live music!!!

Take it easy.....Leo

And how's your garden doing...do you have more pictures of your Roses and has your Mom seen the Roses yet in bloom???

Did you build your trellis yet and buy the Ivy???

Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Take care and peace and happiness to you and yours.....Leo

I went to Margate(east coast) last summer, 2 hour ride. Bike has no windscreen and the wind just wants to take your head off at 70mph. I held on for dear life. Cos it was a warm summer evening on the way back I was splattered with tons of flies.

Mum and dad were back with me last week and helped in the garden. Got quite a few trellis and ivy etc. Is much better now, thanks for your help. Will have to PM you details.

Mum and dad moved into their new house yesterday. Finally. They have been moving around and living out of a suitcase for about 2 years so are very happy indeed.

You and Dave could have a great conversation about old-school stereos. We have an old Marantz receiver that puts out wonderful sound. Pity we don't listen to music in the house much anymore... in the old days, every nice living room was equipped with a console stereo and record collection. My parents had boxes of old vinyl, as did my sister and brother. Much of it was water damaged, which was a real shame as they had some neat records - Glenn Miller and Chubby Checkers come to mind.

Oh, Ethan's kick was very pretty. I was referring to the roundhouse kick poster. I know a lot of adults who think "gee, this looks easy" and up goes the knee, no pivot and they don't know WTF happened either :-)

Some schools teach the kids to crowd because they believe that it will prevent them from getting a kick up. Also, in some of the old snap kick styles, rushing the opponent would get them to fall over if the stance was weak. Lots depends on the instructor, style, and ring rules.

I recently had to quit 25 years worth of martial arts practice/instruction/reffing because the doctor said my knees were shot and I really ought to stop doing that stuff. I really do miss it. At least I get to do a bit of bo form in Lysistrata :-)

That actually sounds pretty good. For a little bit, at least. Luckily, our 100+ days are supposed to be done for a while. Upper 80s to low 90s for the next few days - a nice break especially for this time of year. I've been putting blocks of ice in the rabbit's hutch to keep her cool - and had the idea of freezing some carrot slices and strawberries in with the water. She seems to enjoy her frozen treats.

Wes, I'm glad to hear your folks have their own place now and I'm sure their assistance in your yard made a big difference in the Garden.....looking forward to some pictures!!!

Art, just 32F...that's all.....child's play but I'm kidding when it's Summertime in Florida that temperature is very cold when you are in shorts and a T-shirt plus sandals.......and not used to such cold temps........

Lisa, your old Marantz Receiver, is it one of the units when it was made in the early 70's in Sacramento, California? That is when the company was based there in California before it was sold to and moved to Japan. My Tuner was made in California and today is considered a collector's item.....and yours could be as well!!!

Mikki, it's too bad we all get older and have to give up some activities that we really enjoy doing. At least you can still act and perform plays on stage and have fun and unwind from your daily stress and stuff. I'm sure you have a lot of fun up on stage performing for the audience........

Us too here, supposed to be in the upper 80's and rain the next few days.

You need to put a little window ac in the rabbit hutch.

Wow wouldn't that be cool.....a rabbit hutch with A/C it would be the talk of the neighborhood. Now if she ends up buying gold water and food dishes that might be going just a little bit too far!!!

Lisa, what a great idea of freezing her food and treats so it's nice and cold to help cool her down...I would never of thought of that!!!

We got some rain early this morning...Yeah...free water for the Gardens!!!
Now I can concentrate on weeding, fertilizing and staking the taller plants.....

Take it easy.....Leo

Yeah the shift is good, will go back to mon-fri sooner or later, due to work load changing. Can't work from home. When a bank logs a call, the help desk try to fix on the phone, and if they can't an engineer has to go to site, that's me. And we have to be there in 30mins. When a trading system is down they want it fixed now.

P.S liked you snaps from Colorado

Will try to take some pics soon. Not very interesting, and bit embarrassed as my garden is crap compared to everyone here. Did have some red roses also that were picture perfect, have died off a bit now.

Do you wear a full face helmet?
I find that my DOT 1/2 helmet wants to lift right off my head at high speed but my full face doesn't. I keep my full face helmet locked onto my backrest and I use it at night for bug safety, foul weather and low temperature winter riding. The 1/2 helmet is for fair, warm weather only.

Yep full face. Actually the wind probably hits me full in the chest. Guessing a small windscreen would take the wind off your chest and the helmet is a bit more streamlined, and not affected as much. Thought your valkyrie had a full wind screen. Would of thought you would of been protected from the wind completely.

I only like the windshield for rain and cold weather and multi-hundred mile rides.
As soon as the temperatures get up into the 50's (*F) I take the windshield off. The bike is just more fun without it.

Now you may be thinking that I was had
But this watch is never wrong
And if I have trouble the warranty said
Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On

You know, it's all about perspective I think. I've had a lot more fun in my 1/2 century than a lot of people have. Age does slow you down sooner or later. It's sad when it's sooner, but what can you really do?

Re: stage, soon I'm going to have to give that up too. It's an amazing amount of work. We just finished rehearsal for Lysistrata. Next week is tech week, then we're on.

As they say, on with the show :-)
